A common school chair with a recess in the back as a handle. And a colleague with a striking mustache who has delivered art projects for almost thirty years at hundreds of schools throughout Noord-Brabant and a little bit beyond. By combining both I created the Mustache Chair with the mustache as a handle.
Book ‘Playfull’ with original drawing
The book Playfull perspectives contains an empty page and that is not because I ran out of drawings or that it is a ‘design thing’. The page is reserved to make a drawing. It was one of my more successful actions in my crowdfunding campaign. And as every disadvantage has its advantage, I can also make a drawing for you on this page! It goes without saying that the book will then be signed. A unique gift, especially for art and book lovers and/or fans of my works.

A serious contribution to my crowdfunding at Voor de kunst, which eventually led to the book Playfull perspectives about my pencil drawings, requires an appropriate consideration. In the preliminary phase I indicated that one could also send an image of ones own (favorite) chair. I knew that! The type of chair, a very fine specimen by the way, was just the kind that I actually always ignore. If something is difficult, you divide it into pieces, each of which is manageable, et voilà.

A very generous contribution to the crowdfunding ‘Make my book’ at Voor de Kunst that led to the publication of the book ‘Playfull perspectives‘ needed a generous response of course. This book is entirely devoted to my pencil drawings. If you are active in the transport world then you would prefer to see something of it in return. So there appeared as an attachment in the mail some photos of an oversized vehicle: a GMC Denali. It was said quite lightly ‘or something with a car seat’. Well, sometimes you shouldn’t make things too difficult and just take it as it comes. In this case I literally mixed a drawing of a car (of course the GMC Denali) with that of a chair. It goes without saying that this also had to be an oversized specimen. However, upholstered with a pattern clearly derived from North American Indians as seat cover. Depending on the position you choose in relation to the drawing, see the GMC, the chair or a mixture of both. Car seat and no car seat.
