I came across the beautiful design by the, as it turned out, Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara by chance. As is often the case, I was looking for something different. The way in which it supports the legs, a bit like a truss, is something you don’t see very often. Very elegant and yet sturdy. The separation of the seat is another striking element. I had a coat of arms-shaped frame lying around for a while, so it had to go in there. In the end, I made a new frame for it because I also wanted the top to follow the perspective as well. A coat of arms is also called a blazon.
